Terms of Service
These Terms govern your use of Pulsar AI (“Pulsar,” “the Service”), operated by Pulsar67 LLC — a privacy-focused chat provider that lets you talk with language models we provide. By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms.
1. The Service
Pulsar provides authenticated chat, optional projects, encrypted-at-rest history for signed-in users, guest (signed-out) trial chat with limits, and (on Pro) features such as reasoning, web search, and API keys. We serve Pulsar’s models on GPU infrastructure we operate and/or on a variety of third-party hosting and infrastructure services. Model availability and capacity may change. We may change, suspend, or discontinue features with reasonable notice when practicable.
Consistent with our privacy design, we do not collect readable chat data for monitoring and we do not monitor chat activity or review users’ chat histories. Safeguards intended to help reduce abuse are built into the models themselves; they are not a guarantee of perfect safety. See the Privacy Policy — especially “How Pulsar works” — for how encryption, inference plaintext (including on third-party infrastructure), guest sessions, rate limits, and retention work.
2. Accounts
- You must provide accurate registration information and keep your credentials secure.
- You are responsible for activity under your account.
- Your password also unlocks client-side chat encryption. We cannot recover encrypted history if you lose it.
- Notify us promptly at privacy@example.com if you suspect unauthorized access.
3. Plans — Free and Pro
- Free. Core chat with plan limits. Features such as reasoning and web search are Pro-only and will be refused if requested without an eligible plan.
- Pro. Paid subscription (for example monthly or yearly via Stripe) that unlocks Pro features and API key creation, subject to then-current product UI and pricing.
- Billing is handled by Stripe. Taxes, renewals, and cancellations follow Stripe Checkout / Customer Portal flows we expose in the product.
- We may change prices or plan features prospectively; existing subscriptions are handled as described at purchase time and in Stripe.
4. API keys
Pro users may create API keys for programmatic access to chat APIs. Keys are secrets: you must store them safely and revoke them if compromised. Free accounts cannot use API keys for privileged endpoints. Abuse of keys (sharing publicly, scraping beyond fair use, etc.) may result in revocation or account suspension.
5. Rate limits and fair use
Chat completions are rate-limited per user or API key (default on the order of tens of requests per minute, configurable by the operator). Limits exist to protect capacity and other users. Circumventing limits or overloading the Service is prohibited. Enforcement uses account- and service-level signals, not review of encrypted chat histories.
6. Acceptable use
You agree not to use Pulsar for harm or for any prohibited purpose. Without limiting that obligation, you agree not to use Pulsar to:
- Violate law or others’ rights
- Promote, plan, or carry out violence, exploitation, or other serious harm to people
- Distribute malware, attempt unauthorized access, or disrupt the Service
- Harass, exploit, or harm people; generate illegal content
- Probe or attack our systems beyond authorized testing
- Spam, scrape, or otherwise misuse the Service or its capacity
- Resell access without our written permission
Because Pulsar is designed for privacy — including encrypted-at-rest chat history and no review of users’ chat histories — it can be difficult to moderate individual conversations. Model-level safeguards help reduce abuse, but there is no way for Pulsar67 LLC to review users’ prior chat histories, and we do not guarantee that safeguards will prevent all harmful or prohibited use. You remain solely responsible for how you use the Service and for content you submit or cause to be generated.
We actively try to prevent spam and misuse. We may suspend or terminate accounts based on behaviors of using our services — for example rate-limit violations, abuse signals, spam patterns, payment issues, or other account-level conduct — without reviewing previous chat history.
7. Your content
You retain rights to content you submit. You grant Pulsar67 LLC a limited license to process that content solely to operate the Service (including transmitting prompts through Pulsar’s models on our own servers and/or third-party hosting infrastructure for the duration needed to generate a reply). We do not claim ownership of your chats, do not sell chat content, and do not use chats to train models. You are solely responsible for your content and for any consequences of submitting it or causing it to be generated. See the Privacy Policy for encryption and inference boundaries.
8. Privacy design, moderation limits, and liability for misuse
Pulsar67 LLC provides a privacy-focused chat service. We do not collect chat data for monitoring and cannot review users’ chat histories. Safeguards built into the models are intended to help prevent abuse, but they are not a guarantee that harmful use will never occur. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Pulsar67 LLC is not responsible or liable for:
- Users who misuse Pulsar to promote or cause harm, illegal activity, or other prohibited conduct
- User content or outputs generated at a user’s request
- Third-party harm arising from a user’s misuse of the Service
- Any inability to detect, moderate, or remove particular chat histories due to our privacy design (ciphertext at rest; no staff review of production chat history)
Nothing in this section limits your obligation to comply with these Terms or our right to suspend accounts based on service-use behaviors described above.
9. Third-party services
The Service may rely on Stripe (payments), optional search providers (if you enable web search), and third-party hosting or infrastructure providers used to run Pulsar’s models. Their terms and privacy practices apply to data they receive in that role. We are not responsible for third-party outages, acts, or policies outside our control. Plaintext prompts may be processed by model-serving infrastructure (ours and/or third-party) as needed to generate replies; see the Privacy Policy for details.
10. Disclaimer of warranties
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE.” TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, PULSAR67 LLC DISCLAIMS ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, SECURE, OR FREE OF HARMFUL OUTPUT. Model outputs may be inaccurate, incomplete, or unsafe — you must verify important results yourself. Model safeguards do not eliminate all risk of harmful or prohibited use. No advice or information obtained from Pulsar creates any warranty not expressly stated in these Terms.
11. Limitation of liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, PULSAR67 LLC, PULSAR, AND THEIR OFFICERS, DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, AGENTS, AND OPERATORS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR LOST PROFITS, REVENUE, DATA, GOODWILL, OR BUSINESS INTERRUPTION — WHETHER BASED IN CONTRACT, TORT (INCLUDING NEGLIGENCE), STRICT LIABILITY, OR OTHERWISE — INCLUDING DAMAGES ARISING FROM: (A) A USER’S MISUSE OF THE SERVICE; (B) USER CONTENT OR MODEL OUTPUTS; (C) THIRD-PARTY HARM FROM MISUSE; (D) THE INABILITY TO REVIEW OR MODERATE CHAT HISTORIES DUE TO OUR PRIVACY DESIGN; OR (E) ACTS OR OMISSIONS OF THIRD-PARTY HOSTING OR INFRASTRUCTURE PROVIDERS USED TO SERVE MODELS.
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, OUR TOTAL AGGREGATE LIABILITY FOR ALL CLAIMS ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO THE SERVICE OR THESE TERMS IS LIMITED TO THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNTS YOU PAID US FOR THE SERVICE IN THE THREE (3) MONTHS IMMEDIATELY BEFORE THE CLAIM OR (B) FIFTY U.S. DOLLARS (US$50). THE LIMITATIONS IN THIS SECTION APPLY EVEN IF A REMEDY FAILS OF ITS ESSENTIAL PURPOSE.
12. Indemnification
You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Pulsar67 LLC and its officers, directors, employees, and agents from and against any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, costs, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys’ fees) arising out of or related to: (a) your use or misuse of the Service; (b) your content or content you cause to be generated; (c) your violation of these Terms or applicable law; or (d) your infringement or violation of any third party’s rights. We may, at our expense, assume exclusive defense of any matter subject to indemnification; you agree to cooperate with that defense.
13. Termination
You may stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or terminate access for ToS violations, non-payment, abuse or spam signals, rate-limit circumvention, or operational need — including based on account-level behavior without reviewing chat history. On termination, your right to use the Service ends; provisions that by nature should survive (including Sections 6–12 and acceptable use) continue. For account/data deletion, see the Privacy Policy.
14. Changes
We may update these Terms. Material changes will be reflected by the “Last updated” date. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
